Swap Colors in Photoshop (macOS)

Press X to swap the foreground color and the background color.

What it does

The swap is most useful on a layer mask. Painting with black hides a part of the layer and painting with white shows it again, so one key switches between hiding and showing while the brush stays on the canvas. Together with the default colors it covers most of the work on a mask: reset the colors once, then swap as you paint.
