Move Tool in Photoshop (macOS)
Press V to pick the Move tool.
What it does
The Move tool drags the selected layer, or the pixels inside a selection, to a new place in the image. With Auto-Select on in the options bar, a click on the canvas picks the layer under the pointer. The arrow keys nudge the layer in small steps while the tool is active. It is the tool to return to after painting or selecting.
