About KeyShortcut

Why I made it
I work at a computer all day, and I use keyboard shortcuts for almost everything.
Every time I needed a shortcut I didn’t know, I opened a browser, found the app’s documentation, looked up the keys and switched back. Sometimes I forgot them on the way.
So I put the shortcuts in one place. Today that is 119 apps and 8,217 shortcuts, for macOS, Windows and Linux. Every app page has a search box and a PDF you can print.
A KeyShortcut app for Mac is in the works. It shows the shortcuts of the app you are working in, in a floating panel.
Where the shortcuts come from
The shortcuts come from each app’s own documentation. 167 of the 172 app pages link to the page they were taken from.
Apps change. If you find a wrong shortcut or a missing app, email [email protected] and I will fix it.
How the site is paid for
The directory is free. Ads (Google AdSense), sponsor cards, affiliate links and the Mac app are meant to pay for it.
Affiliate links and sponsor cards are labeled. If you buy through an affiliate link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. None of this changes which shortcuts are listed or how they are described.
To sponsor the site or one page, see keyshortcut.com/sponsor or email [email protected].
