New Tab in Chrome (Linux)
Press Ctrl + T to open a new tab and move to it.
What it does
The new tab opens at the right end of the tab strip, and the cursor sits in the address bar, so you can type a search or an address at once. The New Tab page shows the search field and shortcuts to sites you visit often. A tab opened this way closes like any other, and a closed one can be brought back.
