Do these shortcuts work for you?
Maps shortcuts change what the map shows and how you look at it. One group switches the view: Switch to explore view, Switch to driving view, Switch to transit view and Switch to satellite view. The others zoom and rotate the map, show your location, drop a pin, and show or hide parts of the view such as directions and the sidebar.
Start with these
- Show your current location
- Zoom in
- Zoom out
- Show or hide directions
- Show or hide the 3D map
- Drop a pin in the middle of the map
Tips for Maps
- After Rotate map clockwise ⌥Right or Rotate map counterclockwise ⌥Left, Return to north-facing orientation ⇧⌘Up puts north at the top again.
- The four view shortcuts use the first four number keys with the same modifier, from Switch to explore view ⌘1 to Switch to satellite view ⌘4.
- Drop a pin in the middle of the map ⇧⌘D marks the centre of the map as it is on screen.
