Create Component in Figma (macOS)

Press Option + Command + K to turn the selection into a component.

What it does

A component is a main element that is made once and used many times: a button, an icon, a card. Its copies, called instances, stay linked to it, so a change to the component shows in every instance. Create Component turns the selected frame, group or layers into one. Instances can still differ in their text and in the properties the component offers.
