Frame Selected in Blender (macOS)

Press Num . to move the view so the selection fills the viewport.

What it does

The view centers on the selected object and zooms until it fills the viewport. In Edit Mode it frames the selected vertices, edges or faces. It also sets the point the view orbits around, so turning the view afterwards keeps the selection in the middle. The key sits on the numeric keypad. The same command is in the View menu as Frame Selected.
