Scale in Blender (Linux)
Press S to start scaling the selection.
What it does
Moving the mouse away from the pivot point makes the selection larger, moving towards it makes it smaller. An axis key limits the scaling to one direction, which stretches the object, and a typed number sets the factor. In Object Mode scaling changes the scale value of the object; in Edit Mode it changes the mesh itself and leaves the scale value alone.
